Dr. Barrett received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1996 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and completed his internship at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Little Rock and North Little Rock. He then spent five years with Harbor View Mercy Hospital as a Staff Psychologist and Director of the Adult Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program. He entered private practice in 2003. He is a Past President (2009) of the Arkansas Psychological Association and has served as an Approved Consultant for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Barrett’s practice includes individual adult psychotherapy and assessment. He has an extensive background which includes 17+ years experience in psychology and 14 years working with clinical hypnosis. He utilizes an eclectic and pragmatic approach primarily consisting of cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and ego-state approaches.
